Dropdown slicer loses all values after applying bookmark, under certain circumstances

We have a dataset/report with a slicer in Dropdown mode containing a department structure.

The issue is that applying a bookmark (which was updated with no filter selections in the report, hence meant to clear the filters in the report) causes the whole list in the slicer to disappear (no items visible at all in the list). Happens even with quite few items (40) in the hierarchical list.

This issue occurs when we first scroll down in the item list and then apply the bookmark.

The issue does NOT occur if we do not scroll down before applying the bookmark

The issue does NOT occur if the slicer is in Vertical list mode, only when it is in Dropdown mode.

This happens both in Power BI Desktop and when we open the report embedded in another app.

The only way to get the items back in the slicer after disappearing, is to reopen the report.

I hope this bug can be prioritized, it is causing our clients quite a bit of frustration!

Can you provide some detailed screenshots or sample pbix files describing the issue?
I wasn't able to successfully reproduce the issue. Does it reproduce in any report? What version of Power BI are you currently using? I will continue to investigate this issue for you.

I was fortunately able to reproduce the issue in a test pbix, see description inside:

My Power BI version is  2.121.942.0 64-bit (september 2023).
