Drill Down Not Preserving

Hi,
I have four columns in the form of Scenario 1,2,3 and 4 and one column consisting of their values. I want to visualize them in a matrix visual such as two scenarios in Rows and two in Columns section (two level of hierrachy on both row and column level). Whenever, I change/exchange the scenarios from rows to columns or columns to rows, For example, if scenario 1 and 3 are in rows and I move them to the columns or change the data value then the drill down feature is not preserved and the matrix goes to one level hierarchy.

Desired form: 2 level hierarchy

Drill Down not Preserving after value change in Rows/Columns:

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

    Hi Anonymous ,

From your screenshot can see, the first one is Scenario1, Scenario3 are in matrix column and Scenario2, Scenario4 are in matrix row. The second one is still Scenario1, Scenario3 are in matrix column. Haven't you change rows to columns and columns to rows? Also, in the matrix, there is a option "Drill on Rows/Columns" you can choose.

Also if you put two columns in matrix rows, you can still click the plus button "+" to expand the values.

Here's the latest version, you can reinstall it by the below link:

Download Microsoft Power BI Desktop from Official Microsoft Download Center

v-yanjiang-msft  The issue is that whenever I make changes to the field values (add a column/row in the field values), the drill down is not preserved and goes to the one level hierarchy. Is there any way the drill down is fixed to the two levels regardless of any changes in the field values.

    Thank you
