Does anyone have an issue with dataset metadata update after Monday’s AD Azure failure 15/03?

Even though publishing is successful in BI Desktop, It does not trigger OneDrive update on BI service and does not change the data model as result.

thanks,

Alexey

hi

I have tested on my side, OneDrive refresh works well.

For OneDrive refresh, you need to go to power bi service->get data->file->Onedrive->.pbix file

It is not publish the report in power bi desktop.

Hi Lin, thanks for testing that! I appreciate.

I did "get data", but it still does not replace the dataset. Also interesting that whether I update by publishing or Get data, no new events appear in the OneDrive Refresh history. The last event is one week old  "...Internal service error.  This is usually a transient issue..." Got a feeling that something got stuck on the PBI service.

I'd like to avoid delete/re-publish dataset as it will crush all the report links and permissions.  Will open a ticket with Microsoft support.

Microsoft engineers asked me to delete my dataset and reports and publish them again.

What a shame!

I could figure it out without Microsoft support.

Now I should recreate permissions and inform all users that report links has changed.

But Microsoft do not tell what is the reason and how to avoid it next time.
