December Power BI Desktop Update Breaks Month Slicer Visual

Date mask is set to look like December, 2017 and initially selected in slicer. Now upon report open (in Desktop or Service) we see the long string date. If you click the slicer then the problem resolves itself.

This was working correctly until user who publishes report updated from November to December Power BI Desktop version and republished the report

Hi @mattbleiweiss,

From your description, it seems you put a date column in a slicer visual, right?

Would you please let your work mate who republish the report check if the format set for the date column is is correct in desktop?

Also could you share a sample pbix file with dummy data for us to reproduce the issue?

Best Regards,

Yes, we have a date field in a slicer. Right now we have the report working correctly (using someone with an older Power BI desktop version) and have no easy way of providing a pbix file with dummy data for you to reproduce. Are you not able to reproduce yourself?
