Crosstabs with expanded rows in export differently between Web app and embedded experience

We have dashboards in our workspaces that include multiple tabs, each one containing crosstabs with expandable rows. When the user flips through the tabs and expands all the groupings that they are interested in, and then exports the workbook, the PDF or Powerpoint they get will have all of the groupings epanded, on all pages, the way that they had selected.

However, when we embed the same dashboard in our application and customers attempt the same workflow there (they navigate workbook tabs, expanding chosen groups, then export), the behavior is different. Their chosen groups will be expanded on the tab they have open, but the other pages will be exported with the default expansions.

What is the reason for the different behavior between the regular app (app.powerbi.com) and the embedded version of the app? And would it be possible to unify the behavior?

Hi @aborlandgomerc ,

The original intention of product design is to match different products to different audience groups. So there may be some differences.

If you would like to suggest  feature improvements, you may  vote the idea and comment here  to improve this feature. It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.
