Created a Measure with a name that already exists -> getting stuck in error-message

See the screenshot. I created a measure with a name of an already existing measure and got this error message.

I am unable to click the message away, Escape does not work, I am stuck since 10 minutes - I guess the only way is to kill the process in Task manager 😕

PBI Desktop 64bit May 2021 (optimized for RS)

Hi @Alex_PBI ,

Could not reproduce it as far as my side with the same version of Power BI Desktop.

Potiential reason for this issue could be that the measure or the data model is too large to calculate with the complex formula.

 

You can try to optimize your measure formula or the data model, refer:

  1. Improve Power BI Performance by Optimizing DAX 
  2. Optimizing the data model
