Our team has encountered an issue with reports generated through Semantic Models utilizing direct Query tables to AWS Snowflake. Until last week, these reports were executing without any problems. However, recently, users have been unable to view their reports due to an error message stating,

"Couldn't load the data for this visualDuplicate values are detected from data source. If it's a DirectQuery model, please make sure data source collation is consistent with this Analysis Services model."

Upon investigation, we have verified that there are no duplicate values in the data source. We are reaching out to seek your advice on this matter. Additionally, we would like to inquire if there have been any recent changes in the service that might be causing this issue.

I didn't succeed in reproducing your problem, have you checked the relationships in the report? If you change a 1:N Cross Filter Direction of single to both ，would that mitigate the problem?

We attempted that method suggested in a Microsoft Community blog, modifying the dimensional table to crossfilter both dimensions. This approach successfully resolved the issue in the service. However, our semantic models previously utilized a single cross filter, which had been functioning well until last week. Transitioning to a both crossfilter would require a significant effort for all the semantic models.
Is there a way to pinpoint the cause of this recent problem? Please advice.

The same report is executing in the Power BI desktop and fails to execute in Power BI Service.

The problem is observed in reports without any added measures. Everything was functioning correctly until last week when users began reporting issues.

Based on the above information, if you are a Power BI Pro licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.

User @plxtime  raised the same issue as support ticket, and by following the steps outlined, Microsoft was able to identify and resolve the problem.  Now the error reports that were previously affected are now functioning normally again
