Connecting BMC Remedy with POWER BI

I am trying to connect power BI via ODBC connection for BMC Remedy application.

 

i am able to see all the tables, but wheni try to select the table it gives me error as below:

 

 

DataSource.Error: ODBC: ERROR [07006] [AR System ODBC Driver]Conversion error

 

Details:
    DataSourceKind=Odbc
    DataSourcePath=dsn=AR System ODBC Data Source
    OdbcErrors=Table

 

can anyone please tell me how cani troubleshoot this error?

Can you connect and select the table properly via Excel ODBC connection in the same machine which Power BI Desktop is installed?

hello Herbert,

 

i am just connecting power BI via ODBC connection, putting my credentials for ODBC and i can see all the tables but when i select them its giving me that error.

 

I am not getting what you trying to suggest? connect my application in excel and then connect power Bi? how does that work?
