Column color option ignored in December 2023 update

Hi all,

In the november 2023 version of PowerBI desktop, we could choose colors for bars just fine:

But since upgrading to the december 2023 version, the color we pick is ignored and not applied:

We have encountered this on multiple computers, all after updating to the december 2023 version. Even more, in the online service envirment, he doesn't want to change the color there, either. Could this be a bug? Thank you in advance for the answers!

I did test with 2.124.2028.0 64-bit (December 2023), but it didn't restore your problem. I can modify the color of the column normally. Can you provide more details for reference?

Hi, thank you for your reply! It only seems to affect the clustered bar chart, steps to reproduce:

• Open PowerBi Desktop version 2.124.2028.0 64-bit (december 2023)
• On the frontpage, click "try a sample semantic model" > "Load sample data"
• After loading the "financials" demo-data, add a filter on the whole report on Country=France
• Add a clustered bar chart with COUNTRY in the legend and SALES in the x-axis
• Notice that you can now not change the color of the bars.

I'm also experiencing this problem.  Stacked Column, no legend. X Axis has Month data across multiple yrs. I can't change the colour of Jan'24 & Jan'25 - can only change colour of Jan'23

As of 2/15/24, I am still experiencing this issue. It is effecting multiple visuals, where the color for a column or bar can not be changed. I am personally trying to change the color of a stacked column chart. 

Any help on this is appreciated. Thank you.
