Cannot open recent pbix files

When trying to open recent pbix files from my pc, I'm getting the attached error, while if I try to open one the temporary copies of the pbix file, I can open it successully.

If I try to open an old file from my pc, I can open it without any problem.

My PBI Desktop version is: 2.99.862.0 64-bit (novembre 2021)

Any idea what's happening?

Hi,

According to my test, I can successfully open the recent pbix files when opening the desktop and select them. I suggest you to go to the pbix file on local to open it with the Power BI desktop to check if it can work.

I also suggest you to update to the latest version of the Power BI desktop and check if this problem can disappear.
