Cancel measure creation when updating data model / refreshing schema, PowerBI stuck in loop

When creating a measure and clicking cancel (while measure is being created), measure seems to get partly created, but then reports that the underlying table where the measure is stored is no longer available.  Only way to recover is to ctrl+alt+del.
