Bug: issue with field name removal in format pane

When a field name is rather long, the "x" (removal button) on format pane doesn' appear, user is forced to drag the format pane super wide for it to appear. User can still right-click to remove it but it takes 1 extra click. The "x" button should appear regardless how long the name is >>

Thank you for your feedback, we would like to know more about this issue for the product team’s reference. Does this problem only occur in the latest version of Power BI Desktop? Were you able to use it normally in previous versions?

I experience this problem, too. It has appeared for me recently, so I expect with a recent update to PowerBI Desktop.

I am running version 2.130.930.0 64-bit (June 2024) of PowerBI Desktop.

A workaround for visuals is to rename the field for the particular visual and make it short. However, this is not possible for field references in drill-down pages. Since it is impossible to rename there, the remove button never shows up.

For example, the Non-existing mappings drill through reference can never be removed in the image below.
