Bug: Change home table for measures eventually throws an error

How to create:

Just create some measures, and in the "Data" view, click on any measure and clike "Home Table" button in the ribbon, change to another table. If it doesn't throw an error, repeat for a couple of times, eventually it always throw the same error. I have the trace back info here:

I noticed there are two trace logs but I guess I already sent them by clicking "Report" button.

Here is the trace log:

@markus_zhang,

What version of Power BI Desktop do you use? How many times do you repeat the process that move measures between measures?

I can't reproduce this issue in latest version of Power BI Desktop( 2.65.5313.1381) and I repeat about 8 times.

Regards,
Lydia

@Anonymous Hi, I'm using 2.65.5313.841 64-bit (December 2018)

Basically I can repeat it as many times as I want. I forgot to mention that when I change home table, it never shows the change. This change will ONLY show up (i.e. show in the new table) after "Something went wrong" error happens. I'm definitely not a professional programmer but I suspect the source is in UI compoenents.

I just repeated the process and it shows up again so I think it's 100% in my case.

@markus_zhang,

Would you please update to latest version of Power BI Desktop and then check if the issue still occurs?

Lydia

@Anonymous

Hi Thanks, the error went away after I upgraded to the most recent version. Thank you and the engineers who implemented the fixes as this really saves some trouble.

BTW does Power BI only remind users about major updates? Because I didn't get reminders for a while.

@markus_zhang,

You will get reminder if you are currently using previous months release of Power BI Desktop(for example, Nov release, October release). When you use different updated Power BI Desktop versions of a single release(Dec release in this case), you will not get reminder.

@Anonymous thanks got it. Is there a place that I can view every change made into the smaller updates?

@markus_zhang,

I am afraid that there is no such blog or place for you tracking.
