BUG: Formatting options are unavailable for this visual
Hello,
Is Power BI doing anything to fix this bug? It seemed like it went away for a while not it's back.

Hi nleuck_101 ,
You can try the following steps to add formatting options:
1.Select the Format page.
2.In Visual Studio Code, open the capabilities.json file.
3.Before the dataViewMappings array, add objects (after line 8). "objects": {}
4.Save the capabilities.json file.
5.In Power BI, review the formatting options again.
If the issue persists, you can try updating Power BI desktop to the latest version1. If you’re using a grouped item, you might encounter this issue inconsistently. A workaround is to ungroup the visualization, make formatting changes, then re-group it with the other visualizations.Best regards.

This has nothing to do with custom visuals. This is on the visuals within Power BI. It looks like I have the latest version of Power BI.

I have the same issue with simple matrix visuals. Hard to find a workaround.
Sometime just selecting antoher visual and come back to this one can help.
Sometime I need to swap to another page and come back so that the format pane will be displayed without error.
Sometime there is nothing I can do excep close and reopen.
