Android should read universal barcode not QR

the scannoer in power bi app in iphone can scan universal barcode on the product. but android can only scan QR. while most of products have universal barcode. 

when can we fix android to read universal barcode instead of QR?

I got information below: 

We never used to have this feature on Android.

Barcode is only available on iOS.

We have it on our roadmap but still no timeline.

We will have more details on Oct when we will close our plans.
