All my DirectQuery connections to PBI datasets have stopped working

All visuals that use a direct query connection in published reports are now showing the error "Couldn't load the data for this visual"

 

In desktop, I can create a live connection to any of the datasets which works fine, but when I try to switch to direct query I get this error:

Any ideas?

Are gateways configured for all local data sources involved? If it is successfully configured, please check for errors in "settings".

Resolved this in the end.  My admin had been tidying up which security groups had XMLA endpoints enabled and had got a bit carried away!
