Adding Users to a Workspace does not work

Dear Power BI Team, 

 

no one of my organisation is currently able to add new users to work spaces. When typing in the emailaddress it keeps on loading but without any results. 

In the end it says that the emailaddress does not exist.

Even when typing in the complete mailaddress it won't work. 

 

We urgently need to add our colleagues to the workspace it order to deliver data to them for their daily business.

Hi @adamriese_SE 

Is your colleague's email account in the same tenant as the workspace where you added users ? If yes , the person who adds the user must have the role permission of member and above before adding users in the organization . If no , you must invite the users to be guest users to your orgnization , then you can add the users to your workspace . To invite external users to become guest users, please refer to the following link .

Hi @Anonymous, the person we would like to add is in the same organization and we have already added various persons beforehand (we have the Admin role). When trying to type in the persons e-mail address, Power BI is just showing the loading icon and does not show any suggestions as before. When typing in the whole e-mail address, Power BI is just loading continuously without any result..

Do you have any news for us? As my colleague has already pointed out, it is not about our role (we are Admins, it has always worked), it is about the ongoing loading without any results. We currently have a lot of new employees who need to have access to work spaces. So we need to get it running as soon as possible. If needed we can also have a call and share our screen so that we can demonstrate our problem.

Based on the above information, if you are a Power BI Pro licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.

It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.
