New Fabric items supported for Git integration (data warehouse, spark environment)

Hello,

I've been using git integration in fabric and am aware that some types of items were previously unsupported like data warehouse and spark environments.  Last week at the Fabric conference, it was announced that there are new support for fabric items like data pieplines, data warehouse, spark job definition, and spark environments.  However, in my fabric environment I still see those items listed as unsupported.  I'm wondering if anyone knows if those are still coming soon or is it possible that they are supported under preview and I need to find an option somewhere to enable their support?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @AdamFry ,

Yeah you were not missing any configuration.
If you are looking for above features -SJD and Env in Git. for deployment pipelines, it will still take some time.
At present we don't have an estimated ETA, but team is working on this feature and will be available for users in upcoming releases.

Once the feature gets release, you would be able to see it. No need to do any kind of configuration at your end. Appreciate your patience.

Hope this is helpful. Please let me know incase of further queries.

Hello and thank you @Anonymous !

We are running Fabric in the East region.  I'm specifically interested in these features that are mentioned in the link you provided:

Microsoft Fabric Git integration (ADO)

Estimated release timeline: Q1 2024

Git integration is offered to users connecting to Azure DevOps repositories, enabling synchronization between Microsoft Fabric workspace and the selected Git repository (for commits and updates). Additional Microsoft Fabric items will support source control - Data pipeline, Warehouse, Spark Environment and Spark Job Definition. We'll also provide public REST APIs for automating key git operations, such as connecting a workspace to a git branch, committing items, and updating items from git.

I'm happy to be patient and wait for their release, I just wanted to confirm I wasn't missing a configuration that enabled these as it was mentioned that these were already available at the Fabric Conference but I am not seeing them.

It looks like we have a slight delay on this release. Can you please share in which region you are using Fabric?

At this time, we are reaching out to the internal team to get some update on the estimated release date.
We will update you once we hear back from them.
