As you know, when a lakehouse is created, a default semantic model was created automatically. In the past, the default model can not be deleted, but it look a new feature has been launched and the default semantic model can now be deleted. However, deleting the default model has caused me lots of problems. It turns out I no longer has TMDL view, neither can I add DAX UDF due to the deleting of the semantic model.
Does anyone knows how I can restored the deleted semantic model? I have the workspace sync with Azure Git, and I have found the tmdl files related to the deleted model, how can I restore the tmdl files?

Hi @Jeanxyz,
@lbendlin is correct, there is no way to restore it unless you set up Git version control.
Default semantic models no longer exist (I agree that they were mostly useless).
Make a new model and repoint your reports. Repointing the reports can be done easily in power bi desktop or is power bi studio in VS Code.
If you found this helpful, consider giving some Kudos. If I answered your question or solved your problem, mark this post as the solution.

Thanks, I was able to restore the semantic model via Git Hub Desktop.

Even more - it will no longer be created. It was mostly useless to begin with.
Create your own models.
