Workspace name change causing my Power BI report to fail

I have changed my workspace name.

Then onwards my Power BI report is failing with the following error message.

A connection could not be made to the data source with the Name of '{"protocol":"analysis-services","address":{"server":"powerbi://df-msit-scus-redirect.analysis.windows.net/v1.0/myorg/OrcasqlTelemetryInsights","database":"SemanticModel-for-PBI"},"authentication":null,"query":null}'.
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.

Please help how to solve this issue. Thanks in advance.

2 ACCEPTED SOLUTIONS

By manually going to each affected report and changing the Power Query code.

Next time consider not renaming the workspace.

Thank you Ibendlin. I have deleted the datasource as I have faced some access issues. So, even after adding the data source back it still shows the same old error. 🙄 When I just renamed the workspace back to original name it started working. Now I will make sure to not to rename it again. 😃

In the workspace go to the settings page of the semantic model , open the "server settings"  section and copy the connection string.

Thank you Ibendlin. I can find that setting but my Power BI report still points to the older connection. How can I change it or correct it?
