Workspace deletion
Currently, unlike some other Fabric items, there's no takeover mechanism for entire workspaces when the owner leaves.
However, as a Workspace Contributor, while you cannot delete the workspace, you can take ownership of individual Fabric items (such as Lakehouses, Notebooks, Pipelines, etc.) that you have access to. Once you take ownership, you’ll be able to delete those individual items if needed.
Hope this helps. Please reach out for further assistance.

Hi Srisakthi ,
Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community,
To delete a workspace you must be a Workspace Admin. Since the owner of the workspace has left, the possible options are:-
1. Tenant admin or Power Bi admin can delete the Workspace.
2. As mentioned by suparnababu8 you can get credentials from the person who left, you can login with those credentials and can delete the workspace.
Capacity admins cannot delete workspaces with only contributor role in workspaces. They must be Workspace Admin to delete the workspaces.
If you're unable to resolve it internally, consider raising a support ticket with Microsoft: Microsoft Fabric Support and Status | Microsoft Fabric

Thank you.
Hi v-veshwara-msft ,
I understand, just wanted to know if there any mechanism to take over like for other fabric items we have. Once people left the organisation their credentials will be removed so your option two will not workout.
Regards,
Srisakthi

Tenant and capacity admins can appoint new workspace admins.
