With an Azure Managed SQL instance what is the suggested way to import data

Hello All

We are right mow seting up an new ERP enviroment there we are running it on an Azure Sql Managed Instance that should remain non public (private)
We have been looking in to using  fabric of several reasons but niw we run in to an possibile "problem"

As i understands it wwe need to run an Datapipeline, but the only way (without using On preem gateway installed to an virtual machine) to get an private connection is using Virtual Network Gateway that is not supporting an Datapipeline?

Have we run in to an catch 22 or what is your take in the topic and what am imissing in my thoughts?

Hi @maverick28 ,

Is my follow-up just to ask if the problem has been solved?

If so, can you accept the correct answer as a solution or share your solution to help other members find it faster?

Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Hi @maverick28 ,

Wanting to keep it private, but still wanting to use it in Fabric, you might consider using a private endpoint to establish a secure connection to an Azure SQL hosted instance.

Private Endpoints allow secure connections to Azure SQL Managed Instance to be established in a virtual network. A network administrator can establish a Private Endpoint in their virtual network and the SQL administrator can choose to accept or reject the Endpoint.

Please see the documentation below for more information:
