Why Fabric Notebook keeps on forgetting the dataframe?

Hi all,

I am new to Fabric and spark in general so please excuse my noobish question.

So in the Notebook, after I read something into dataframe, and if I don't run the Notebook for like 10 to 15 minutes, why the Notebook forget the dataframe and I have to read into the dataframe again?

Is there a way to increase the time before Notebook forgets the dataframe?

Hello @BenBlackswan

If you don;t run the notebook in fabric env, It'll stop your session automaticlly and whenevr your sessions topped you need to startfrom first cell.  If you want to extend the timeout feature pls follow below steps

In your active notebook, click on Sessoin Ready as shown in below pic

Now you will see window like below and click on Reset

Now you can adjust timeut settings accordingly for your reqyirement.

Once you clicked on apply you'll get notification like below

I think, you might need fabric admin permission to extened this.

Hope you are clear now. Let me know if it works
