Virtual tables from dataverse in to fabric

I am trying to set up a shortcut from dataverse to fabric. I have some virtual tables which I can see under tables in my dataverse environment. However when I go to my fabric link (azure synapse link) those tables aren't there in the dataverse tab. All other dataverse tables seem to be there, but not the virtual ones. Do I have to make the virtual tables available somehow? All help is appreciated

The Azure Synapse Link (or Fabric Link) does not support virtual tables out of the box, because:

  • They don’t physically reside in Dataverse’s data platform.
  • They are not included in Dataverse Change Tracking, which is required for Synapse Link to detect and replicate changes.
  • Microsoft’s Fabric connector only exposes actual Dataverse tables that participate in storage and change tracking.

Your best bet solution is to materialize the virtual table.  Use Power Automate to periodically copy the data into a physical Dataverse table; once it is a real table you will see it show up in Fabric
