VNet Data Gateway costs
Hi richhughes
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/vnet/data-gateway-business-model
This simplifies to $0.72 per gateway per hour (using the Pay-As-You-Go price of $0.18 per CU per hour)
VNet Data Gateway is billed based on uptime (i.e., the time the gateway is running, not just when queries are processed).
• Billing starts when your first query runs or you test the connection.
• The standard consumption rate is 4 Consumption Units (CUs) per gateway member (node) per hour.
• A typical VNet Data Gateway uses two cores, and the formula often cited is:Price per hour = 2 * cu consumption rate * 2 cores * $.18
This simplifies to $0.72 per gateway per hour (using the Pay-As-You-Go price of $0.18 per CU per hour)
Hope this helps

Hi richhughes ,
The image shows an email asking for help calculating VNet Data Gateway costs based on a 14-day usage report. The table includes metrics like:
- Duration (s): 1,152,920.0479
- Users: 288,229.7640
- Successful count: 608
- Billing type: Billable
To calculate the cost, you'd need the pricing formula for VNet Data Gateway from Microsoft Azure documentation. Would you like me to look up the current pricing details for you?
