Upgrading to F64 and current PPU Workspaces
- 1 year ago
Hello bw_chec
A workspace set to Premium Per User (PPU) continues to require PPU licenses, even on a tenant with an F64 capacity. To make it possible for users without PPU licenses to view its Power BI content, you do need to move the workspace itself from PPU to the F64 capacity. Once you assign the workspace to F64 (or larger) and place those users in the viewer role, they can consume the reports using only a Fabric (Free) license, regardless of any original data source.
Below are the general steps:
1. Open the intended workspace’s settings.
2. Switch its license mode from Premium Per User to the F64 capacity.
3. Assign users to the viewer role if they only need to read reports and dashboards.https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/fabric-docs/blob/main/docs/enterprise/licenses.md
Hope this helps.
