Unable to test Row Level Security using View As

When setting up a Fabric semantic model and connecting to it via Direct Lake access in Power BI I see no way to view the dashboard as one of the security roles in order to test Row Level Security.  When navigating to the SM in the web browser it says "Test as role does not work with Single Sign-On (SSO)."  How am I supposed to test security without this capabilty?

    Hi cpshort7186 ,

     

    Please confirm whether you have enabled RLS on the SSO-enabled DirectQuery source.
    This is a known limitation.

    Row-level security (RLS) with Power BI - Considerations and limitations

    You may consider:

    Duplicate the Semantic Model: Create a duplicate of your semantic model and disable SSO for testing purposes. This way, you can use the "Test as role" feature without the SSO restriction. Once you've validated the roles, you can re-enable SSO on your production model.

    Manual Testing: Assign the roles to test users and manually verify the data visibility by logging in as those users. This approach can be time-consuming but ensures that the roles are functioning as expected in a real-world
    scenario.
