I am trying to connect to the Azure SQL Database from a Fabric notebook using my credentials, with authentication via Azure Active Directory Universal with MFA.

Hello @Mongia_Cherif

Please check the below pointers

  1. Verify that your client IP address is allowed through the Azure SQL Database firewall rules.
  2. You can try increasing the connection timeout settings in your connection string.
  3. Ensure that you have the latest ODBC drivers installed. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause connectivity issues.

Please go through below urls, it might helps you to solve your issue.

Hi @Mongia_Cherif ,
Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

Make sure that all connection parameters (server, database, username, and authentication) are properly configured.

Ensure that your AAD configuration is properly set up. You might need to register your application in Azure AD and assign the required permissions.
Ensure that you are using the latest version of the ODBC Driver for SQL Server.

If this post was helpful, please give us Kudos and consider marking Accept as solution to assist other members in finding it more easily.

Regards,
Menaka.
