Unable to Select Connection when selecting Dataflow Data Destination

If I am trying to set the data destination for a dataflow gen 2, I will sometimes experience that I get stuck on the first screen where I should select the connection credentials.  I am trying to put the data into a warehouse, though I have experienced the same issue when trying to put it in a lakehouse.  It is a bit random; I have many other dataflows successfully putting data in the same warehouse.  It seems to be more common when I delete a previous destination and try to create a new one.  It typically goes away in time or via refreshing, though it is quite annoying when experienced.

At least some of the time, I can mash the "ok" button to get to the next screen before it is greyed out.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a more reliable fix?

Hello @brft

Other users were struggling with same issue as well, no solid, reliable solution found though.

worth trying these:

Browser refresh: Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+F5) to clear cached UI elements

this worked for many:

Recreate the dataflow: Start a new dataflow and link it directly to the target lakehouse/warehouse to bypass corrupted settings

Disable staging in dataflow settings if using on-premises source

Instead of deleting and recreating, modify existing destinations to reduce UI conflicts

if nothing works

open a Microsoft support ticket with details including:
• Affected workspace IDs
• Screenshots of the grayed-out UI

Please accept this solution if this is helpful and give kudos

Hi @brft,

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

I wanted to check if you had the opportunity to review the information provided by @nilendraFabric.

I am also inculding a microsoft documentation related to dataflow-gen2-data-destinations-and-managed-settings, please have a look into it for your better understanding.

Additionally, I am adding a similar thread here for your reference: Solved: Data Flow Gen 2 : Data Destination = Warehouse con... - Microsoft Fabric Community

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions. If my response has addressed your query, please accept it as a solution and give a 'Kudos' so other members can easily find it.

The hard refresh has worked, though maybe not 100% of the time.  Recreating the dataflow has also worked, though is of course very much not preferable.  Have not gotten a chance to test the other things, but will look to that if/when the issue comes back.

Thanks!
