Hello @Naaib,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum. The error "There was a problem refreshing the dataflow, the gateway version you are using is not supported" persists despite using gateway version 3000.254.6. To resolve this, please try the following:
Please refer to official Microsoft documentation: Troubleshoot the on-premises data gateway.
Best Regards,
Ganesh singamshetty.
Update to the Latest Gateway Version
The latest version as of July 2025 is version 3000.278, which is newer than your current version (3000.254.6). Fabric components need at least gateway version 3000.182.5, but it’s always best to use the most recent version.
Download the latest gateway:
• Go to the Microsoft Download Center
• Search for “On-premises data gateway”
• Download and install version 3000.278 or later.
If you’re still facing the error after upgrading the gateway, try these quick steps:
Make sure you’ve installed the latest gateway version (check for updates, as requirements change fast).
Restart your gateway service and computer after the update.
Verify your network/firewall settings allow connections required by Fabric Dataflow Gen 2.
For full support details and gateway requirements, check the official Microsoft document:
On-premises and VNET data gateway considerations for Dataflow Gen2 in Microsoft Fabric.
If the problem continues, consider reinstalling the gateway or double-checking your configuration
