Tabs switch when umber pressed even without having ALT pressed

It seems something is up with the new tab navigation. I've found that when you press a numbered key it can switch tabs even without ALT pressed. This is really off putting when you are trying to type...

Try pressing Alt + any number once. It worked for me. I didn't know that it was triggered by alt+number till I found this post but then I thought maybe it could "reverse" the behaviour and it did for me so far. Hope it helps. 

 

Update: The problem came back. Seems the fix is only temporary.
