Setting Users can work with variable libraries (preview) is missing in Admin portal
Hello, we have found out that the tenant/capacity setting "Users can work with variable libraries (preview) is missing in our Admin portal. I am able to see other "Fabric" settings. What happened? Will this settings appear againg in Admin portal? Thank you.
Hello ADMBARBORACI,
That’s expected — the “Users can work with variable libraries (preview)” setting is no longer shown in the Admin portal because the feature has moved out of preview.
📌 Beginning September 30th, the Variable library item is Generally Available (GA) and fully supported in Pipelines. Support is also expanding beyond just Lakehouse shortcuts.
So you don’t need to enable it in the tenant settings anymore. You should be able to:
Create a Variable library directly from your Fabric workspace,
Manage values and sets from there, without depending on the preview toggle in the Admin portal.
Docs:
Here's what you can create directly from any workspace :
Hope it can help you !
Best regards,
Antoine
