Hello Community,
I have a dashboard which auto refreshes daily in the morning, but the refresh has been failing for the past 2 days. Below is the error Screenshot, could someone help me diagnose and resolve it, Please.

Hello @Subhashsiva,
the error message indicates issues with the connection of some data sources in the semantic model.
Assuming you have some data sources which require access with user credentials, it can be the case that this is the issue. Maybe a user edited the model who had not the necessary rights on the data sources.
I recommend take over the semantic model and verify that every data source connection is working with your credentials or the credentials which are necessary for the data source (service principal, technical user,...).
I hope this helps. If yes, feel free to mark it as solution.
BR, Mauro
The permissions are user specific and the last user who updated the model did not have valid permissions, so the refresh is failing. You can either get that user the correct permissions, or if you have permissions go into the model > settings > data source credentials > edit credentials
Please mark this post as a solution if it helps you. Appreciate Kudos.
Hi @Subhashsiva,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
From what you’ve described (and as the message in the screenshot confirms), the semantic model was edited by a user who didn’t have access to the underlying data sources. When this happens, Power BI automatically disconnects the model from those sources to avoid permission issues or incorrect credentials being saved. As @andrewsommer and @Mauro89 both responded to your query, kindly go through their responses and check if it answers your query.
I would also take a moment to thank @andrewsommer and @Mauro89, for actively participating in the community forum and for the solutions you’ve been sharing in the community forum. Your contributions make a real difference.
If I misunderstand your needs or you still have problems on it, please feel free to let us know.
Best Regards,
Hammad.
