SQL Analytics Endpoint not responding or is really slow

I am testing Fabric Lakehouse and the SQL Analytics Endpoint, but everything is really slow at the moment or is not responding.

When I wants to preview a Table or view in the Lakehouse or run a query in the Lakehouse nothing happens. I can see the Tables/Views and their columns and I am also able to right-click and get at Top 100 Query. But the Query which a few days ago ran is 1-2 sec now keeps running for hours???

I can connect to the SQL endpoint through SSMS, but the results are the same - I can see tables/views, but even the most simple queries is running forever.

Does anyone experinece the same or have seen and solved the problem before?

Regards,

Niels (a frustrated user from Denmark)

Thank you for your reply and suggestions 🙂 - I will defently try them if the problem arise again - but without actually doing anthing it seems that my Fabric enviroment runs smoothly again.

If the problems arise I will test your suggestions and see if you suggestions works and update this Reply 🙂

If anybody have had the same issues and tried with some of the suggestions, please feel free to add a coment wheter it works or not.

Hi @nhniniras

Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community.

It appears to be an intermittent issue, the following steps may be helpful.

Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes your browser can cache information that might be causing the issue. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies.

Hard Refresh: Sometimes a hard refresh of the browser might help you, please try to Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac).

Sign Out and Sign Back In: Sometimes signing out and signing back in to the Microsoft Fabric web portal can refresh the session and clear any cached data.

Try Microsoft Edge: If you are currently using Chrome or Firefox, try switching to Microsoft Edge to see if the issue persists. Edge is the native browser for Microsoft products and might have better compatibility with Microsoft Fabric.

If the issue still persists, please do let us know we will try to help.

I hope this information helps.

Thank you.

Sorry to jump on someone else's topic but I'm having the very same issue this morning.  This worked perfectly yesterday and now the queries are just sitting there spinning.

I've tried all the suggestions above.  I've tried two different browsers.  I've tried incognito and inprivate windows.  I've restarted my laptop.  I've even started up a VPN to my corporate server and tried from that in case it was something to do with my connection.  Queries are just sitting there spinning.

However, if I go into the Lakehouse itself, and look at a preview of the table, that comes back, even if a little slow.  So the problem seems to relate specifically to the SQL analytics endpoint.

Any ideas?
