Recover deleted warehouse

Is there any further enchancment on the capability to recover deleted warehouse , previuosly we can only rollback or roll forward the warehouse only to point in time .

  • Hi Vishnu89

Microsoft Fabric offers restore points as the primary mechanism for recovering data in a Fabric Warehouse. However, this capability is limited to restoring the warehouse to a previous point in time and does not directly support recovering a completely deleted warehouse

    Restore Points:
    • Restore points are snapshots of the warehouse’s metadata, referencing underlying data stored in OneLake. These can be system-generated (every 8 hours) or user-defined (created manually before major changes).
    • System-generated restore points are retained for up to 30 days and capped at 180 points.
    • User-defined restore points also have a 30-day retention period and must be created proactively.

    Limitations:
    • If a warehouse is deleted, there is no built-in mechanism to recover it directly. To restore data, you would need the warehouse’s GUID and an existing restore point created before deletion

No plans as of now to bring this feature. No roadmap yet.
