Real Time Detailed Activity Monitor
Hello community,
After many years working with SQL Server on premise, I have just upgraded to Fabric, and to begin with, I am missing something important.
At the company where I work, there are times when we receive alerts for reaching maximum capacity. Until now, this has been resolved by restarting the capacity, but before doing that, is there anywhere I can see what is consuming the most capacity at the moment? Can I check this information about what has happened previously?
I have already tried using the Fabric Capacity Monitor and FUAM, but I have encountered two problems:
1) It is not in real time; I have to reload it, and that may not be the best time to do so.
2) In both reports, I can see what has consumed the most capacity throughout the day, but I cannot see what was consuming the most at a specific moment.
Can you help me?

The Capacity Metrics app is the best way to find this info. For existing items, it has about a 15 or so minute delay in data, and new items only appear once the semantic model refreshes.
In Capacity Metrics, you can drill through to a specific 30 second timepoint and see exactly what was comsuming capacity at that time: Understand the metrics app timepoint page - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
You can also query DMVs in lakehouses and warehouses SQL endpoints to see active sessions at the database level.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I have read the article and I really like what it says, but I think I have a problem with the Capacity Metrics app I am using.
The article mentions several pages within the report: Compute, Storage, Timepoint, Autoscale compute for Spark, Item history, ..., but the Capacity Metrics app I can download in my fabric environment only has four pages: Compute, Storage, Autoescale compute for Spark, and Item History preview. The Timepoint page is missing.
Do you know what the reason for this might be?
