Powerbi Pro Migration - Fabric Capacity Sizing?

Planning to move all existing powerbi Pro workspaces to Fabric capacity, most of reports using import mode connectivity due to different sources joining the data.   Want to do  lift and shift with out modification to reports, by just moving the license from powerbi pro to fabric capacity, before that need to choose the right fabric capacity and get the company budget approval, to calculate the capacity sizing, how to to check the  current pro workspaces total  memory usage?  so that i can choose the right capacity as mention in the link

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/enterprise/service-premium-what-is#semantic-model-sku-lim...

How to determine in fabric workspace required large or small semantic model format? what are other parmeters need to consider for fabric capacity sizing?

Want to do lift and shift with out modification to reports, by just moving the license from powerbi pro to fabric capacity

You are slighly mixing concepts. Licenses are not part of this equation.

Did you have Power BI Premium capacities before?

In the Admin center you can assign workspaces to different capacities (also possible via API calls).  That includes movin Pro workspaces to Fabric capacities.

No we don't have premium capacity, it just pro .  it's move from pro workspace to fabric capacity workspace.    As we tried to migrate on of report in pro to fabric under F8 capacity, it got failed with  below message

  • Data source errorResource Governing: This operation was canceled because there wasn't enough memory to finish running it. Either reduce the memory footprint of your dataset by doing things such as limiting the amount of imported data, or if using Power BI Premium, increase the memory of the Premium capacity where this dataset is hosted. More details: consumed memory 2979 MB, memory limit 2979 MB, database size before command execution 92 MB. See https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2159753 to learn more.

so i what to analyse the  existing  pro workspace reporting memory usage before moving all the reports in fabric, any advise how to get the pro memory usage for the workspace?

You either need to consider a (much) bigger capacity or you need to do some refactoring on your data model so it desn't balloon so much when being decompressed.

How to get semantic model memory usage?  Nobody knows. Maybe try DAX Studio.
