tldr; Your PBI trial is active, but Fabric capacity is not available in the tenant, so Lakehouse cannot be created.

You are seeing this because the PBI trial and the Fabric trial are different things, even though they appear in the same interface. When you clicked Start free trial, the system activated the PBI Pro trial only, which is why you see the message “Your Power BI trial has started.” However, Fabric features such as Lakehouse require a Fabric capacity, and your tenant currently does not allow starting a Fabric trial capacity. That is why the message says “Creating Lakehouse is not supported… there are no trials available on this tenant.”

This usually happens for one of these reasons:

  1. Your organization administrator has disabled Fabric trials in the tenant settings.

  2. Your tenant already used the Fabric trial previously, so another one cannot be created.

  3. You are using a work or school tenant that restricts Fabric capacity creation.

The practical solution is to ask your PBI or 365 administrator to enable the Fabric trial capacity in the Admin portal or assign your workspace to an existing Fabric capacity (for ex F2, F64, etc.). If you do not have admin support, the alternative is to create a separate personal tenant and start the Fabric trial there, where the capacity can be created.

Hi @crysehd , everything that @Vinodh247  says is correct... but for the reasons as to why this specific message, I need to add couple more:

#04. Transcient issue on new tenant <- THIS WAS MY CASE (READ DETAILS BELOW)

#05. MSFT is no longer allowing Fabric trials on new tenants  <- I HAVE SEEN THIS IN OTHER POSTS

With regards #4

As I shared on this other post with the exact same error msg Re: Unable to Start Fabric Trail for New Tenant - Microsoft Fabric Community: "I just recently experienced the EXACT SAME THING! And I was about to open an official case with MSFT when, out of nothing just a couple days after I initiated Fabric on my tenant... it worked! My conclusion is that, when you create a new tenant from scratch, IT TAKES TIME for some background processes to complete, hence, this is transcient issue on new tenants, just need to wait a couple of days and give it a try, in my case, it took 48 hours."

With regards #5

I've seen this message on other post from what it seems MSFT user accounts, but I cannot find any official confirmation and, as I explained earlier, in my case it work after a few days.

In conclusion, I this is a NEW TENANT, I'll wait a couple of days and give it a try again... hope yours is cause #4 and you'll get your trial account 🤞😅 ... comment on what are your observations! Gives a thumbs up on the mean time and mark this as solution when appropiate. All the best.
