Is there a polybase (a function that can query external db table without etl) function in fabric?

Is there a polybase (a function that can query external db table without etl) function for synapse analysis in fabric? If not, are there any plans to add this feature?

    Thanks for using the Fabric community .

    Can you place elaborate what do you mean by  "External db table " ? Is the table on a different lake house ? Or this is a table on a different source ?

       I mean tables in other databases like Oracle or mariadb.

        Thanks for reply . 

        I dont think there is any at ths time . Please beware that when you try to connect to other datasource ( mariadb or Oracle ) we also need to make a connection to the data source to access the data source . I think the ELT / ETL is the way to go and many of them are with "No Code" option . 

        I will request you to add the ask here https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com/  , so that the product team is aware of the ask and they can prioritize that in the future release .
