Integrating Fabric and Azure DevOps Repo on two different tenants
Hi, in order to integrate Fabric with an Azure DevOps Repo for source control purpose I could have this two scenarios. I need to use Visual Studio/Visual Studio code in a my machine:
- a customer has his own Fabric tenant but not an Azure DevOps; as a supplier, I have an Azure DevOps in my Azure tenant. In a such case, an account of my tenant should be a guest accont in the customer tenant to integrate my Azure DevOps Repo in a customer Fabric workspace, isn't it? Other option?
- a customer has both his own Fabric tenant and an Azure DevOps; as a supplier, an account of my tenant should be a guest account in the customer AzureDevOps to push/pull the source changes, isn'it? Other option?
Thanks

Hi pmscorca,
Based on current Microsoft Fabric Git integration design, cross‑tenant scenarios require the same Microsoft Entra ID identity to exist in both the Fabric tenant and the Azure DevOps tenant.
Currently, Microsoft documentation does not describe or support a guest‑less alternative (such as tenant trust or app‑only authentication) for workspace‑level Git integration. PFB references achieved using Azure AD B2B guest access.

grant access to azure devops git repo to users from another tenant - Microsoft Q&A
I’d encourage you to submit your detailed feedback and ideas via Microsoft's official feedback channels, such as the Microsoft Fabric Ideas.

Hi,
I'd like to understand better.
A typical scenario could be the following one:
a customer has his own Fabric tenant but not an Azure DevOps; as a supplier, I have an Azure DevOps in my Azure tenant. Well, is it possible to integrate my Azure DevOps Repo in a customer Fabric workspace and how, in order to manage the developed code versions?
Thanks- v-prasare

Hi pmscorca,
Microsoft Fabric Git integration requires the same Microsoft Entra ID identity to exist in both the Fabric tenant and the Azure DevOps tenant. Cross‑tenant scenarios are supported only through Microsoft Entra ID–based access (such as B2B guest or multitenant identities).Git Integration with Service Principal - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft LearnGuest‑less tenant trust or identity‑less, app‑only Git integration is not currently supported. please refer to below useful referencesIf changes are needed in this area, submitting a request through Fabric Ideas is the recommended path to influence future product improvements. How to Connect Microsoft Fabric to Azure DevOps Using Service Principal
