Importing Files from OneDrive or SharePoint Blocked
Hi everyone, I'm having a problem. I'm in two Fabric tenants. Tenant A and Tenant B. Tenant A allows me to import files from OneDrive or SharePoint. But tenant B doesn't. I investigated further and found that some options need to be enabled in the admin portal, in the tenant settings. However, they're already enabled for the entire organization in tenant B. Is there a solution for the tenant administrator to do this?

Hi KevinArbaizaM,
It sounds like you are hitting a tenant configuration or licensing gap in Tenant B. Here is a quick checklist your Fabric/Power BI admin can run through to restore the OneDrive or SharePoint import experience.
1) Verify the Fabric tenant setting for OneDrive/SharePoint integration
- In the Fabric Admin portal, go to Tenant settings -> Integration settings, and make sure Users can view Power BI files saved in OneDrive and SharePoint (Preview) is Enabled. This controls the OneDrive/SharePoint file experiences surfaced in the service. Microsoft docs: Integration tenant settings (see the OneDrive and SharePoint options on that page).
2) Confirm the user actually has OneDrive/SharePoint in Tenant B
- Users need a SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business license assigned in that tenant, and their personal OneDrive site must be provisioned at least once. Without this, OneDrive experiences are effectively blocked even if Fabric settings are enabled. Microsoft docs: Pre-provision OneDrive for users and Assign or unassign licenses.
5) Common quick fixes
- Sign out of Fabric/Power BI, close the browser, then sign back in to Tenant B. Try an in-private window to clear cached identities.
- If the admin just assigned SharePoint/OneDrive licenses, ask them to pre-provision your OneDrive or have you visit OneDrive in Tenant B once to finalize provisioning, per this Microsoft article.
If this helps, consider giving some Kudos. If I answered your question, please mark this as the solution.

Hi KevinArbaizaM , Since the tenant settings in Tenant B are already enabled at the org level, here are a few things your Fabric administrator should verify:
Scope of the setting – Even if enabled for the org, sometimes the configuration is restricted to specific security groups. Please confirm that your user account is not excluded.
Licensing differences – Check whether the accounts in Tenant B have the same Fabric or Premium capacity licensing as Tenant A. Certain import features require the correct license.
Microsoft 365 integration – The Fabric setting depends on SharePoint/OneDrive integration being allowed in the broader Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Ensure that external connections are not restricted at that level.
Propagation delay – Admin portal changes can take several hours to propagate. If the settings were only recently updated, give it some time and retry.
If all of the above look correct and the issue persists, I recommend the Tenant B admin raises a support ticket with Microsoft Fabric support, since it may be a backend/tenant-specific issue.
If this helps, consider giving some Kudos. If I answered your question, please mark this as the solution.
