I have noticed an issue today, the IA Skill agent is not able to run the sql query and I get the message:
"It seems there was an error retrieving the data using the SQL query provided. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide the requested information at this time". the IA skill is linked to a lakehouse in Fabric and when I run the same SQL query I do get the result, so like there is an issue for some cases to run the query because for other questions the agent is able to run and get the result, I have tried to refresh the agent but still the same issue.

Hi @abdoing67,
Thanks for the clarification. Since the SQL is generated correctly and runs fine manually, the issue likely lies with the AI Skill agent's execution context.
I recommend raising a support ticket so the Fabric team can investigate and identify the root cause.

Hi, if IA skill was not able to generate the sql query I can undestand as maybe it's a complex one but for my case, the hardest part was already done by generating the SQL query the only issue is now running this query that should be in theory the easiest part 🙂

Hi @abdoing67,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.
Thanks for sharing the issue — I understand the frustration when things work inconsistently.
Since the AI Skill feature in Microsoft Fabric is currently in public preview, it's not uncommon to experience partial functionality. The fact that some SQL queries work while others don’t suggest that this could be related to query complexity, unsupported syntax, or limitations in the AI Skill's SQL generation or execution context.
These types of inconsistencies are expected during the preview phase and are usually addressed by the time the feature reaches General Availability.
For reference, Microsoft recently announced this capability here:
