How to change data source for dataflow gen2 after deployment
Hi Everyone,
I was stuck at one step. I have performed deployment from dev to prod, which includes the data warehouse, data Lakehouse, Dataflow Gen2, semantic model & report. This is particularly about Dataflow Gen2 - deployment was successful. Now I need to change the data source settings, which will point to files from the production Lakehouse instead of the development Lakehouse. I am not able to find that setting or the process to change this data source setting. If anyone knows, kindly let me know.
Thanks & Regards,
Rutuja Kadam
Deployment pipelines copy the Dataflow Gen2 across but do not re-point its Lakehouse references to items in the destination workspace. You have to rebind the dataflow yourself inside prod.
Open the deployed Dataflow Gen2 in the prod workspace, click Edit to launch Power Query, and for each query change the Source step so it references the prod Lakehouse instead of the dev one. Save and publish. After that, refreshes will read from the prod Lakehouse.
If it solved your issue, please mark it as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
Thanks,
