How to View the Fabric Capacity Metrics Data Model

Hello Community,

I have recently installed the Azure Fabric Capacity Metrica App. Can someone let me know why I'm unable to open the data model, see image. Is there additional permissions that are required to view the Data Model?

Hi @carlton7372,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

Thank you @suparnababu8 for the prompt response.

The Fabric Capacity Metrics App semantic model is not editable or viewable this is by design.
Even with Admin or Capacity Admin permissions, the 'Open data model' option will stay disabled because the dataset is protected by Microsoft.
You can still explore the data using Explore this data or Analyze in Excel, but editing the model itself is not supported.

Thanks and regards,

Anjan Kumar Chippa

Hi Community, I did some research on the accessibility of the Fabric Capacity Metric App data model. I read that it's not accessible to users. Is that correct?

Hello @carlton7372

Which workspace role do you have in that workspace? You should have Admin/Member of that workspace. Also pls check that to view the capcity metrics, you must need to have the Fabric capcity admin access. Pls go thorugh this Install the Microsoft Fabric capacity metrics app - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn it might helps you.

Please let me know if it helps you...

Thank you!

Hi @suparnababu8 thanks for getting in touch. I granted myself Admin access to the Fabric Workspace, see imgae, however I'm still not able to open the data model

Any thoughts?
