How many users can use Fabric F64?

How many users can use F64?

I'd like to buy Fabric.
How many users can see the PowerBI dashboard for free if I buy a F64?
Can I create an infinite account if I register a user in Fabric?

I'm testing with F2.
All users are free. Can I make it indefinitely for free?
Is there only a difference in resources between F64 and F2? Does it matter how many users are available?

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi @leesukjun ,

As you mentioned you have purchased  1 PowerBI license it may be Pro license or PPU(Premium Per User) or PPC(Premium Per Capacity) . When you share a report or dashboard, the people you share it with can view, but they can't edit it unless they have the necessary permissions.

You raised a query that how many users can see or work on the report.  In an F64 capacity, a single dataset size is limited to 25 GB. Storage limit we have but there is no specific user limit mentioned for F64 capacity. However, it is designed to support a large number of users, especially in enterprise environments where multiple users need to access and collaborate on reports and dashboards.
While coming to the Pro license,

When you create and publish a report in Power BI with a single Power BI Pro license, you can share it with other users who also have Pro licenses, enabling them to view, interact with, and collaborate on the report. However, every user who accesses or works on the report must have their own Pro license.

If the report is hosted in a Power BI Premium capacity, it can be shared with a larger audience. In this case, users without a Pro license can still view the report, making it possible to share with many individuals within your organization without requiring everyone to have a Pro license.

Below is the MS document I found.

The contents of the document are free except for using PowerBI, right?

I have purchased and used 1 PowerBI license to make and publish a report.
Can one person post it, and how many other users can see or work on the report?

Hi @leesukjun ,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.

How many users can use F64?

With an F64 capacity, you can have many users share a single capacity. It is not limited to a single workspace.

How many users can see the PowerBI dashboard for free if I buy an F64?

If you purchase an F64 capacity, report viewers can view content with only a Microsoft Fabric free license.

Can I create an infinite account if I register a user in Fabric?

There is no indication that you can create an infinite number of accounts. However, you can have many users share a single capacity.

I'm testing with F2. All users are free. Can I make it indefinitely for free?

The F2 capacity allows for free usage, but it is limited in resources compared to higher capacities like F64.

Hi~ Thank you reply~

We are going to choose Fabric compared to the view license of Tableau BI.
So, the number of licenses is important.
I understood the criteria for calculating the cost of capacity in CU units.
Can you tell me more details about the number of licensed users?

and..The document you shared won't open. Can I get it again?

Hi @leesukjun ,

It looks like you do not have permissions for the documentation link. Sorry for the inconvinience .

Fabric has three user license Free, Power BI Pro, and Power BI Premium. Free users can develop their own Power BI content but cannot share it unless their workspace is in Premium capacity. Power BI Pro users can create and share reports with other Pro users and free users in Premium capacity. Power BI Premium users have access to all Pro features plus additional premium features.

Every organization needs at least one user with a Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license to use Power BI within Fabric. Smaller SKUs than F64 require a Pro or PPU license for each user consuming Power BI content.

Providing  the screenshot about license and also  the documentation:
