I saw last year an announcement for ArcGIS and Fabric integration, but I'm curious why lakehouses don't support geometry datatypes. Is this an update on any roadmap?
I have a queued user story to utilize our on-prem shape data with lakehouse tables. The workaround I found tells me to save the data to a file. It would be nice to use tables in our medallion architecture and either push to an arcgis layerfeature/webmap or (if power bi ever gets support too) pull into a power bi report directly.

Hi @Johnm_AK89 there's nothing on the Data Engineering roadmap that mentions Geometry datatypes.
I also can't see anything in the Fabric Ideas site, so may be worth you creating an item: Home (microsoft.com)
