Feature Usage and Adoption - User Read Permissions for Semantic Model?

We built a Power BI report off of the Feature Usage and Adoption semantic model located in the admin workspace locally. When uploaded to POwer BI service in a new workspace, users cannot view the data in the report. I have fiddled with the permissions, but cannot seem to get them to view the data. Do end users have to be provisioned access to the admin workspace to view the report in another workspace?

I can provide logs if need be.

There are few prerequisites for users to be able to view the data, and the Admin Monitoring workspace differs slightly from 'normal' workspaces.

The normal prerequisited for end users trying to view a report are:

  • They have been assigned a pro license.
  • The have access to the report, either through a workspace role of direct access (or via a sharing link) to the report.

Because you created a new report based of the underlying semantic model, you might also have to:

  •  Grant rights on the underlying semantic model in the original workspace.
  • Check if the settings in the Fabric Admin Portal --> Tenant Settings --> Use semantic models across workspaces (under Workspace Settings) is enabled.

Let me know when you tested the above suggestions and if they solved your problem.
