Fabric status shows Failed for an F&O table

We recently went live with Fabric and a premium capacity, and things appeared to be working fine for a few weeks.  All of the sudden yesterday, we noticed that one of our tables was not refreshing.  We tried to unlink the table and then resync it, however the Fabric status continues to show "Failed" for that one table and no others.  Any pointers into what to look for or how to resolve this?

Hi @jtenbroek1,

We solved our problem by disconnecting and reconnecting Fabric.

Same issue here on all D365FO tables.

Steps attempted > 1. Clean up all F&O tables in Datalake on Fabric

2. Remove all F&O Tables in PowerApp Synapse Link(OneLake)

3. Rebublish all tables

Result: Still Failed Status on Fabric side.

I am facing this issue with the F&O virtual tables (mserp). The table is created for the first time, but if you uncheck the table in the Manage table (Azure Synapse Link for Dataverse) and later try to bring the same table back into Fabric, I see the Fabric status "Failed". There is no documentation explaining how to select and deselect the Dataverse tables for Fabric.

@v-kpoloju-msft I am facing the same issue as @jtenbroek1, but for a different table.
I am struggling to find your path to look for the diagnostics:
Microsoft Fabric > One Lake > Azure Synapse Link > Activity log / Diagnostics.

In MS Fabric, do you mean the One Lake catalog? Because there I can not find the azure synapse link

Hi @jtenbroek1,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

After reviewing the details you provided, I have identified few workarounds that may help resolve the issue. Please follow these steps:

The root cause is likely due to a sync metadata or schema inconsistency for the inventsum table from Finance & Operations, possibly triggered by a recent schema change, permission issue, or stale artifacts in Fabric. Despite re-linking, Fabric continues to reference outdated or conflicting metadata, resulting in a persistent "Failed" status during sync.

Navigate to Microsoft Fabric > One Lake > Azure Synapse Link > Activity log / Diagnostics. Examine detailed error logs or exception messages for the inventsum table, focusing on timestamps that match the failed sync attempts. Fully remove the sync metadata before re-adding it: In Fabric, go to the workspace and delete any stale datasets or tables associated with inventsum. In the Synapse Link UI: Unlink the inventsum table. Wait 5–10 minutes to ensure cleanup. Re-link it and monitor for fresh metadata generation.

Ensure that Fabric retains: Access to the One Lake storage account. The correct permissions to the relevant F&O environment. If permissions were recently changed, this could affect only certain tables.

Compare the table schema for inventsum in F&O with what Fabric expects. Check partition settings (Year partition is shown) and try simplifying the partitioning temporarily before re-linking. In Power BI Admin Portal or Fabric Admin Settings, review: Resource consumption. Queued or failed background jobs. Dataset refresh history.

@v-kpoloju-msft I too am facing the same issue with another different table, but for me it is not clear what you mean with "In Fabric, go to the workspace and delete any stale datasets or tables associated with inventsum".
The table doesnt exist anymore in the lakehouse.

In the Synapse Link UI  I have tried unlinking the table, waiting up to 20 minutes and relinking it but immediately it shows Fabric status "Failed".
