Fabric for retail client

I have a requirement for retail client. Where I have to implement warehousing and give end reports to client where now they reley on excel spread sheets for reporting

I have basic knowledge how it works.

Can suggest what subscription and pricing for my project where I usually have 10k transactions per day. If you give brief details about and best practices and how to proceed that would be great

Hi @AdamMichael

Based on your requirement (10k transactions per day),  You can go with entry level capacity licenese, such as F2 or F4 to support warehousing, reporting, and concurrency. You can estimate your requiremnet here Fabric Capacity Estimator | Microsoft Fabric and If you would like to know about pricing , pls check this Microsoft Fabric - Pricing | Microsoft Azure

While coming to best practises,

  • You can use Lakehouse (OneLake) to ingest the raw data from your source.
  • If your data in un-cleaned format, you may use DataflowGen2(low code) or Notebooks(Pro code) and by using data piplines you can push it to Warehouse.
  • Then create a star schema sematicmodel in Fabric Warehouse for reporting.
  • With Power Bi you can connenct  to your semnatic model and build your reportign needs.
  • Then Implement row level security (RLS) as per your requirement.
