Hi om8604 ... how about me giving you step-by-step instructions for you to get a Fabric trial for 30 days using nothing but a hotmail account? In this article from my blog I explain how to get it Brilliant! How to get started with Fabric with a Hotmail account ... you can then activate your Trial and practice for your exam! You'll need to provide some sort of payment information to get your azure tenant (Step 2. Create a new Azure tenant) but this is just to confirm your identity, no need to pay anything! Follow the rest of the steps and you'll end up with your own Fabric free capacity to practice for your exam.

Advocate IIIHi, getting a Fabric environment is a very easy thing. You need to spend about 10-15 minutes, and you will have your environment ready.
I suggest using the Office 365 Trial for that purpose. I have my personal Fabric tenant using that algorithm. Also, you can repeat that process as many times as you need if 1 month is not enough.
Your actions are:
1. Register in Office 365. It will give you the work e-mail.
2. Register in Fabric using that e-mail.
Done.
Later, if you want to dig deeper into Fabric, you will be able to extend that tenant to have a paid one. But it is a volunteer activity and a separate topic.
When you do all that, don't forget to cancel the subscription to Office 365 if you don't have plans to continue.
